What to expect your first visit?

What Can I Expect During My First Visit to a Chiropractor?

Your first visit at Advanced Spinal Correction will begin with a health history questionairre and some additional new patient paperwork.  You will then consult with the doctor. This consultation is your opportunity to express your health concerns and expectations, and to ask any questions you may have pertaining to your complaints. It is also for the Chiropractor to express his role in your health care and discuss your health prognosis.

Following the consultation, a physical exam will be performed which may include orthopedic testing, reflex assessments, muscle testing, and a specific Chiropractic evaluation. In some cases x-rays may be necessary to determine an exact diagnosis. "To see is to know, not to see is to guess, and we refuse to guess when it comes to your health." X-rays are done on site utilizing the latest in digital technology.

The Doctors will go over the results of the exam and x-rays. Then, depending on your situation, Dr. Rob may give you an adjustment or determine if other tests are warranted for your condition.  If an adjustment is administered, a variety of techniques may be used, including adjunctive therapies.  Adjustments shouldn't be painful, although you may feel some discomfort until the pressure in the joint is relieved and the irritation is removed.

Between your first and second visit, Dr Peck will perform a comprehensive analysis of your x-rays, correlate your examination findings and prepare a written report of his findingsDr. Peck will discuss the specific aspects of you case and make his recommendations to correct the underlying cause of your health problem. Treatment will consist of a series of visits specifically designed for your unique condition.
